Sandra was wonderful throughout our 10-day tour - incredibly knowledgable about Irish history and so organized, caring, and funny. I also loved her driving and always felt safe in her bus. She guided 13 of us through Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Killary Fjord and its Famine Walk, Connemara National Park, Glenviegh National Park, Slieve League cliffs, Donegal, Irish country life museums, Yeat's grave, Giant's Causeway, Ballintoy Harbour, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and Ballycastle, Derry, and Belfast. This was a long, jam-packed trip and she never ran out of energy, patience, or stories. I have met very few guides of this caliber. I highly recommend Extreme Ireland and Sandra!
Awesome family trip around Ireland!
We went on a private group tour with Tom (5 day, 4 night). We left from Dublin and visited Roscommon, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle, Killarney, Blarney Castle, and the Wicklow Mountains on the way back to Dublin. The whole trip was awesome! I worked with Dewald to plan the trip and it was super easy to work with him through every stage of planning. He updated our itinerary several times to ensure the trip included exactly what we wanted.
Tom was our tour guide--and he is great...super knowledgable and accommodating. He was flexible and able to account for the needs of all 17 of us. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without him!! There was never a dull moment--the trip was filled with activities. We went caving, kayaking, cycling around Dingle, visited the cliffs of moher, visited Killarney national park, toured Bunratty Castle and visited the Blarney Stone! I would definitely recommend Extreme Ireland--we had an amazing trip!!
Spent the full day (8:30 AM to 9:30 PM!) with Leo, our private guide. There were just two of us...so expensive as a private tour...but they could have accommodated up to 9 in the very comfortable van we were in. Dewald (one of the managers) spent time helping me plan out the itinerary in advance before our trip and Leo was a great tour guide that day. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Picked us up at our hotel in Dublin and then took us to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Doolin (little fishing village on the coast for lunch at McGann's - which was awesome!), Cliffs of Moher, and the Burren, And then to Kinvara (to see Dunguaire Castle). A very full day! Beautiful countryside and the cliffs were fantastic (plan to spend an hour and a half or so)! We also got very lucky with the weather. Leo was very accommodating every time we wanted to stop for photos, etc. Overall - a fantastic day and a great way to see this beautiful country.
